Sunday walk

I wander down a forest track with plenty of sunshine and temperatures still in the high twenties, but leaves are beginning to fall, a sign autumn is just around the corner. Otherwise it is very quite, maybe its the time of day with the sun at its highest and hottest, so wildlifes' chilling out. There is no shortage of honeybees and beetles but little else.

Bracket fungi clings to an old rotten tree stump.

The last of the wildflowers.

... and a beetle battles its way through the undergrowth.
