Calw

I have Brexit to thank for this visit to Calw today, located in the heart of the Black Forest. The journey by train takes me through the picturesque Nagold valley to visit the Calw Landratsamt situated high on a hill to register my ID.

Calw is probably most famous for being the birth place of Hermann Hesse a Nobel prize for literature winner and writer of many famous books such as Steppenwolf and Siddhartha. A statute of him standing casually on a bridge over the Nagold river can be found in the town centre (see photo above).
