Ferns galore

Ferns galore, some head high, are waded through to reach the valley.

One of the many crickets hopping beneath my feet as I descended through shoulder high ferns.

Insects make the most of the warm sunny weather.

Orange butterfly and below a brimstone.

... and finally a common brown butterfly

Down in the valley a fieldfare searches for worms.
