Sunday walk

My Sunday walk takes me to Gruenhutte (Green cabin) in the heart of the Black Forest. A round trip is over 10km, so I set out before it gets too hot. There are a few butterflies  and the first I see is a red admiral. Later when I reach the plateau (900m) the pine trees are full of woodpeckers and tree creepers. I take few photos but they are all too far away to make a photogenic picture. I pass few people on the way there but on the return leg there is no shortage of walkers headed, no doubt, to the Green cabin for lunch. By the time I am back just before midday the temperature must be close to 30C.
Outside the Gruenhutte (Green hut) in sweltering sunshine.
