Earth day
Today is Earth day, time to think about gardening and planting those seeds after a frosty start to the season.
It's still quite cool today but the sun shows itself sporadically in the afternoon. On a short walk I see numerous butterflies, mainly brimstones and tortoiseshells. I manage to capture these two brimstones absorbed together in a mating dance.
Meanwhile the tortoiseshell butterflies never hung around for long so getting close enough to photograph was a challenge.
These small blue wildflowers add an extra splash of colour to the landscape ...
... and the sheep relax in the sun.
