Bees & butterflies
It's warming up at last and the afternoon sunshine has brought out the insects. Despite a cold breeze that still persists, which seems to have been relentless for the past six months. There were plenty of bees, butterflies and other insects and even one or two bumblebees.
There were a number of these brown butterflies and the usual cabbage white.
Finally I came across this stunning blue flower that looks like a cornflower but is probably not.
Meanwhile the good news is that the great tits continue feeding and I have not seen the woodpecker today. Tomorrow I will attempt to look in the nest box to assess the situation and try and take a photo. Watch this space.
