Mystery birds

 

While looking out of my window a group of four birds land on a nearby tree. Definitely not the usual birds I see as they appear to be extra large finches. At first I think 'hawfinch' but the bright orange suggests two are crossbills. However the brown streaked bird (circled) above is definitely not a crossbill or a hawfinch. Unfortunately I only manage three shots through the double glazed window shooting at an extreme angle so that image quality is not great to say the least. All four birds flew off together as I was photographing them. Interesting nevertheless.
