Sunday walk

 Wildflowers

 Warm with intermittent sunshine and a slight breeze, it felt like the seaside today.

Wildflowers are plentiful this year with a great variety, but the butterfly and insect population certainly seemed to have taken a hit after the long cold spring.

Looks like a wild rose to me ...

... pink is definitely this year's colour ...

The foxgloves are out and so are the thistles ...

... there are other colours too of course ...

... white, yellows, blues and purples ...

... not to mention plenty of greens ...

 ... the odd bug ...

 ... and plenty of ants ...

 ... and even a few interesting fungi ...
