Calw wildlife

 

I was attacked by this cob in Calw today. It attempted to take a bite out of my leg as I was photographing its family of seven cygnets. I was so captivated by the cygnets wandering fearlessly among the shoppers that I failed to notice the cob behind me until it began pecking at my leg. The cob was so gentle I wondered what on earth it was at first, but was I startled when I turned round to see this huge swan taking exception to my presence. After removing myself to a safe distance the cob decided to attack its own refection in the shop windows, obviously not happy with any intruders even itself.
