Forest walk

 

A walk in the woods, it's misty and drizzly but mild and the autumn colours are brilliant. I am surprised to see that the tadpoles are still alive but they haven't developed further into froglets. I wonder what will become of them. Will they hibernate through the winter and continue developing next spring or simply die off when temperatures drop below freezing. These pools will ice up soon so I doubt very much they will survive.
